Heritage at My Fingertips: India’s First Inclusive Arts & Culture Gallery Inaugurated at National Museum

In a landmark step toward accessible museums and inclusive cultural participation in India, Saksham, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the National Museum, New Delhi, inaugurated India’s first Inclusive Arts and Culture Gallery, titled “Heritage at My Fingertips.”
The gallery was formally inaugurated by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture, who dedicated the space to persons with visual disabilities, marking a major milestone in improving accessibility in Indian museums and cultural institutions.
Making India’s Heritage Accessible to Persons with Visual Disabilities
The Inclusive Arts and Culture Gallery has been designed using universal design principles to ensure that visitors with visual impairments can meaningfully engage with India’s rich cultural heritage.
